Construction of the new Prisma Health Performance Center has reached a milestone at 1529 S.
Highway 14 as the site for indoor sports, a cafe and a walking track remains on track to open early next year; the city announced Prisma Health as naming rights sponsor on Aug. 4.
🎭 Culture
Ruby Jade, a consignment store on W.
Poinsett Street, opened in November 2025 to offer local artists a space to display prints, crochet pieces and upcycled clothing. Owners Kyndall Stewart and Kayle Doan launched the boutique to create a supportive community for local creatives.
🎓 Education
U.S. News World Report ranked five Greenville County high schools in the top 25 statewide as part of its 2026-2027 Best Public High Schools list.
Riverside High (ranked 11), Mauldin High (16), Wade Hampton (20), J.L Mann (21) and Eastside (24) are highlighted.
🏈 Sports
Fans are voting for the top football recruit among the Dandy Dozen as unlimited voting continues until noon on Aug.
20; entries include players committed to UAB, Clemson, Rutgers, and other schools from the Greenville, Spartanburg and Anderson areas.
