City crews are working on South Tyger River Trail’s Phase 1A, a 0.7-mile boardwalk that will connect Country Club Park to Greer Golf and Greer High School.

The project is expected to open by late fall and includes concrete work, stairs with railings (and future lighting infrastructure).

As fall begins this September, Greer residents are advised to water new plantings and mow lawns while weeding, mulching, and starting compost piles for better soil health + to protect local wildlife and support robust spring growth.

Greer gardeners can optimize their fall landscapes by planting garlic and lettuce, dividing perennials, and refreshing containers in September.

They can also purchase fall bulbs and cover exposed beds to boost soil health for a thriving garden as cooler months approach.
