If you're voting today, head to your assigned polling place, not one of the early voting sites. Election director Conway Belangia expects lines early in the morning and later in the evening. If you're in line at 7 p.m., he said, you'll get to cast your ballot.

FOX Carolina's Election Day guide lays out the ID and booth rules. Belangia also said to always check your paper ballot to make sure it lists the candidates you want.
